Bubbly Drinks, Winter Cheese Plates, and A Holiday Happy Hour Playdate
One of my favorite things during the holidays is having some mommies and kiddies over for a holiday playdate. Last year we made gingerbread boys and listened to Christmas songs. We had so much fun that last Friday afternoon we had a couple of mommies and kids over to celebrate the season again.
Sparkling water spritzers for the kids. B said, "This is my favorite drink EVER!" Grown-ups can trade the sparkling water for sparkling wine.
Salt dough ornament making for the kids. Just as fun as making cut-out cookies, without the sugar rush. Visit Delighted Momma for a good salt dough ornament recipe.
Winter cheese plate ideas: nuts and a nut cracker, a few different cheeses (Washi tape + toothpicks = fun cheese markers!), crackers or sliced baguette, honey, apple, pears, grapes or pomegranate seeds.
I also made a cinnamon sugar popcorn that was requested by my 5-year-old. Shall I share that recipe soon?
